So I got hit with one of those tag thingies....

Where you are supposed to fill out random questions about yourself and pass the blog love on. So here goes


1.) Where were you 10 years ago? Working part time at a tiny little one hour lab called “Photo Depot” in Menomonee Falls. Caleb was 5 and in preschool 3 days a week and Joey was 2, which means he was playing Hot Wheels and asking for a “nack” (snack) every 10 minutes. According to my not really great records, I shot 9 weddings that year. I charged…are you ready for this? $750 for 10 hours of coverage AND PROOFS. This was when I shot film and would routinely shoot 20-30 rolls per wedding and I’d soup the black and white myself in my basement darkroom. I basically paid those people to shoot the weddings. But if I saw any of the images today, I would probably think that they deserved to be paid….

2.) Five items on your to-do list today
1. Finish uploading, slideshow and blog Danola wedding (Done! YAY!!)
2. Plant annuals outside before more rain (I worked for about 2 hours and I have mucho more to go)
3. Make bread and chicken stock (Check. Honey wheat, and the stock is cooling)
4. Begin edit on May 25 ( Begun…..:)
5. Email my mother and assure her my house is not dropping into Lake Delton. (Check)

3.) Snacks I enjoy – Cheese and anything with cheese. Nachos. Hummus. Vodka. That’s a snack, right?

4.) What would you do if you were a billionaire? You probably won’t believe me when I say I wouldn’t stop shooting weddings. But I wouldn’t. I’d shoot less, and hand all the post production to my specially trained elves. And I’d travel often and with abandon. I’d give a good chunk to some of my favorite charities, including some of my family members, the Humane Society, Kids with Cameras and my kids’ grade school St Pius X. I’d invest and create trusts for my children that they could only claim once they did a tour in the Peace Corps or some other humanitarian effort.

5.) Places I would live: #1 no doubt about it, Vancouver BC. Following behind that, Seattle, Portland, Topanga Canyon California.. I’d like a home in Tucson Arizona and Denver Colorado too.
